Xavier In de Braek donates Football Bet prize money to “Spieren voor Spieren”

Giving a special gift for Christmas. This is what Xavier In de Braek wanted to do this year. As the winner of this year’s SEKISUI European Football Tournament Bet he was able to do just that. On November 29th he handed over a check of € 430 to his chosen organization “Spieren voor Spieren”.

For the second time this year, all SEKISUI employees were able to bet on their favorite team at the European football tournament – and support a good cause. While € 70 go to the winner himself, € 430 will be donated to a charity by SEKISUI. This year’s winner was Xavier In de Braek, Information Analyst at SEKISUI Alveo B.V. in Roermond. With his right tip on the Spanish team, he won this year’s bet and was very pleased to hear about the check. He donated the money to the organization “Spieren voor Spieren”.

Spieren voor Spieren supports children with a rare muscular disease and is committed to sports activities and events as well as research, diagnostics and care. With the donations, the organization is particularly active in the following areas:

  • Funding scientific research to develop and cure muscle diseases and to develop new tools to improve the quality of life of children with muscle disease
  • To support and improve diagnosis, treatment and care of muscular diseases in children through the funding of the Spieren voor Spieren children’s center
  • Activities and events for children with muscular disease and their families. For example, the “Spieren voor Spieren Dag” (muscles for muscles day) is organized once a year – a special day for children with muscular disease where they can simply enjoy the day with their families.

Cynthia Lamper of “Spieren voor Spieren” is very pleased about the donation. “This donation enables Spieren voor Spieren to achieve their goals: A world without muscle diseases among children.”

We hope that the money donated by SEKISUI will bring a smile to many faces. We are very happy to see where the donation goes this year and would like to thank everyone who took part in the bet!
