The event itself was designed as a mixture of presentations and workshops, so the participants could actively be part of the Vision Caravan and demonstrate the top management how good they understand the vision of SEKISUI Chemical Group. Everyone attending was assigned to a group of 6 persons – most members haven’t been in close contact before, but after a short self-introduction everyone was comfortable with the companions for the rest of the day.

Group Vision

Director & Managing Executive Officer Yoshiyuki Hirai opened the event while sharing the “Group Vision” with the participants during his speech. Through prominence in technology and quality, SEKISUI Chemical Group will contribute to improving the lives of the people and the earth’ environment by opening up new frontiers in residential and social infrastructure and by being a pioneer in chemical solutions.

SHIFT 2019 – Fusion

After the presentation of the company’s vision it was finally time for President Koge to present the new Mid-term Management Plan to the European management. His intent is to grow the company and changing the quality of growth. That means there is a need to balance quantitative growth with qualitative transition and conduct forward-looking investment, constant structural reform and tireless innovation with a view to realizing growth that entails corporate awareness and responsibility.

The key to advance the new Mid-term Management Plan is “Fusion”, which means collaboration on different levels. In the workshops that followed the presentations, the managers strengthened their understanding of the corporate philosophy. They shared ideas which they created in groups and got feedback from the top management directly.

Everyone is important to reach the vision

President Koge finished his visit in Germany while showing that every employee counts for SEKISUI. He emphasized that the activity and the individuality of every single member of SEKISUI Chemical Group is the most important factor for opening up the new phase of growth. While chatting with single employees he motivated them to spread the message of SHIFT and FUSION to other members of the company. And he is looking forward to working together with everyone to step into the new phase – which means for SEKISUI to have a strong corporate presence and contribute to society.
