Sandra Caire and her family love nature and care about environment. She is working as Process Development Engineer at Sekisui Specialty Chemicals in Tarragona, Spain, and takes care of sustainable projects in her free time. It is more than deserved that Sandra receives an award as one of SEKISUI’s “Greenest Persons 2017”.

The annual SEKISUI KAIZEN Convention took place this year in January for the 52nd time. Together with global companions, the winner of the latest European KAIZEN convention presented his project in Kyoto, Japan.
It was THE highlight for every KAIZEN team this year: The representatives of the European SEKISUI companies met for the 7th European KAIZEN convention in Düsseldorf, Germany. The teams from various sites competed against each other and presented their improvement activities to reinforce company structure and business performance.
In November the seventh KAIZEN Convention takes place. Teams from various European SEKISUI sites, which have previously won internal contests, compete against each other at this event. In the run-up to this year’s convention, we take a look behind the scenes at SEKISUI S-Lec and look at the course of internal KAIZEN activities, from selecting the themes to honouring the winners.
The second SEKISUI European Football Tournament took place this year in Herkenbosch, Netherlands. Since the Dutch team EAFV (Ex Amateurs For Victory) won the tournament last year in Tarragona, HISPANIA FC wanted to bring the cup to Spain. However, the competition this year was strong. Not only did the last year’s winner want to defend his title, but for the first time a Japanese team took part in the tournament.
President Koge handed over the Premium Management Special Award to Yoshio Aoshima of SEKISUI S-Lec during the festivities of SEKISUI’s 70th anniversary.
