On 29th September, SEKISIUI Diagnostics opened its new expanded UK campus. Located at 20-20 Business Park, just outside Maidstone, the facility houses over 100 employees.
The campus includes contemporary offices and meeting rooms, new laboratory facilities as well as manufacturing and warehousing areas. In the past, the premises of the company were split.
We are excited to be opening our new facility. SEKISUI Diagnostics is being located at a number of sites in the local area since 1971. Through bringing the company together onto one campus it is our hope that we promote greater cohesion, teamwork and communication, said John Power, Vice President/General Manager, SEKISUI Diagnostics EMEA.
SEKISUI Diagnostics is a global clinical diagnostics products manufacturer. The site in Kent specialises in the manufacturing of high purity enzymes for the diagnostic market. It is also the distribution centre for all products sold into Europe. Diagnostic products are used by medical practitioners and laboratories to aid the diagnosis, screening, or monitoring of numerous disease states. The total diagnostics market in Europe was estimated by the European Diagnostic Manufacturers Association (EDMA) in 2014 to be worth approximately 11 billion EUR.
