We spoke with three European attendees of this year’s Global Saijuku Management Programme: Frank Voermans from SEKISUI Alveo, Stelios Papacostas from Sekisui Specialty Chemicals Europe and Mike Dieters from SEKISUI S-Lec. Advasol Films wins Greenest Product award
Sekisui Specialty Chemicals’ latest product, Advasol Water Soluble Films, was recently awarded 2nd place for Greenest Product at the International Pool and Spa Show. The show took place in New Orleans in November 2016. It was drawing attendance of over 11,000 professionals from across the globe to view and discuss the latest pool and spa technologies.
High-performance railway technology in Lille: FFU synthetic sleepers
In 2016, the switches at the slab track of the Lille Metro in France were renovated with the technology of FFU® synthetic wood. This was the second successful installed FFU synthetic sleepers project in France after renewing two switches at slab track in Toulouse 2015.

The vote is over – and the participation was quite impressive. Over 10.000 votes of SEKISUI employees worldwide determined the winners of the Greenest Person (2016) Award. One of the eight nominees in total was Bart Scheepers from SEKISUI S-Lec in Roermond. He ranks second place in this year’s vote.

Celebrating the New Year in Japan
