At the beginning of September, the SEKISUI European Football Tournament 2019 will take place for the fourth time! Again, many different countries from Europe are represented, with new and familiar faces. It’ s about time to introduce the nine participating teams.

How does your team prepare for the tournament?
Due to a shift schedule we can’t really have a lot of trainings. But we are driven to get our (first year) title back!
What are you looking forward to at his year’s tournament?
This year. we have a lot of new faces in our team. We are looking forward to all the goals we will (hopefully) score.
Why should colleagues participate in the tournament?
Because it is a nice competition but still a lot of fun and a good chance to meet new people.

What is the name of your team and why did you choose it?
The name of our team is “Alveo United”. We choose this name because we play with colleagues from various sites.
How does your team prepare for the tournament?
We watch football on TV and learn the tricks we see.
What are you looking forward to at his year’s tournament?
Last year we ended up with the 3th place. This year we will go for the 1th place and leave the tournament as winner!
Why should colleagues participate in the tournament?
To have a great weekend with our colleagues, and to play football of course.
Hispania FC

What is the name of your team and why did you choose it?
Our team is called “Hispania FC.” Hispania was the Roman name for the Iberian Peninsula. Tarragona was a Roman city.
How does your team prepare for the tournament?
As in the previous years, we will play some friendship matches during August.
What are you looking forward to at his year’s tournament?
We are looking forward to meeting the European colleagues and enjoying the tournament together.
Why should colleagues participate in the tournament?
Because it is fun to play football, to do activities and to meet with other European colleagues.

Our name is “Born Toulouse”, already a legendary name in the SEKISUI culture.
How does your team prepare for the tournament?
We are counting the days. And will maybe do some training in summer.
What are you looking forward to at his year’s tournament?
We are looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Our name is “Sorry In Advance”!
Every year we had to apologise to someone for some reason or another. This year we thought we already are prepared – with our name. ????
How does your team prepare for the tournament?
We have a social kick around every week and have been always doing this. Clearly, it has not worked in the past, but we still enjoy doing it.
What are you looking forward to at his year’s tournament?
We have four new players this year. Every time we have new players, they must sing a song for us. We’re looking forward to their performances at Friday night’s dinner.
Why should colleagues participate in the tournament?
Colleagues should participate in the tournament as it is a great social event with several people from other sites that you usually wouldn’t be able to meet. The football is always played in a good manner and almost everyone plays with a smile. The evening before and afterwards is usually quite fun too!

People should participate in order to meet colleagues from other SEKISUI companies.

How does your team prepare for the tournament?
Due to a shift schedule we can’t have trainings this year. However, all our players are natural football stars in the Netherlands.
What are you looking forward to at his year’s tournament?
This year we have various new players in our team. Hopefully they enjoy this event as much as we did in the last years.
Why should colleagues participate in the tournament?
There is always a lot of laughter.

How does your team prepare for the tournament?
We will have small group training and lots of individual training until September.

We are aiming to win the Fairest Team Award again.
Why should colleagues participate in the tournament?
To have fun time with colleagues from other European companies.

What is the name of your team and why did you choose it?
Our team name is “SSE United” because this year our team includes players from the resin and film plant.
How does your team prepare for the tournament?
We are trying to get fit until the tournament. In addition, we are planning to have several trainings sessions. And of course, there will be specific tactics but these depends on our opponents.
What are you looking forward to at his year’s tournament?
We are looking forward to having a fair and sporting event. And to eventually win the cup!
Why should colleagues participate in the tournament?
To get to know other European colleagues in a different environment than work.
