SEKISUI Pipe Renewal exhibits at IFAT 2018

For five days, the world’s leading trade fair for environmental technologies – the IFAT – addressed the topics water, sewage, waste and raw materials management in Munich, Germany. The industry’s products are in rising demand all over the world. This was also notable at the booth of SEKISUI Pipe Renewal: During the entire trade fair, the team informed interested visitors about trenchless pipe rehabilitation.

The IFAT trade fair yearly presents future technologies for a clean environment. SEKISUI Pipe Renewal (SPR) continuously plays an important role in environmentally friendly urban development. It was thus clear that the SPR team participated at the largest environmental technology fair as experts.

The modern approach of pipeline repair by trenchless rehabilitation technology with spiral wound process was well received by the trade fair audience.

Achim Jähnke, Head of Business Administration at SPR: ” IFAT is the most important European trade fair of our industry. Almost a week is all about water, sewage, waste and raw materials. It’s great to introduce our process to such a wide range of experts. A lot of them didn’t know that the winding tube technology is the most sustainable method for renewing pipelines. It was fun to explain the benefits and opportunities to all of them.”

More than 141,000 visitors came to the fair to learn about sustainable technologies – including German Federal Environment Minister Svenja Schulze, who stated what many people around the globe are concerned about. “We need to use resources and recycle plastics and other materials more effectively and avoid plastic wastes being disposed of into the environment. It is to avoid unnecessary plastics. The IFAT presents smart and innovative environmental technologies that are already part of a solution to many of our environmental challenges.”
