Nergis Guzelocak is Market Development Manager at SEKISUI Specialty Chemicals Europe (SSCE). And mother of a one-year old girl. After her maternity leave, she returned to her position at the beginning of this year. We talked to her and learned what it feels like to be back at the company.

Last year, SEKISUI headquarters were looking for a graduate to work as English Business Coordinator in Tokyo. Alexander Howard Horgan from England was finally chosen to join the Human Resources Department and the team of Miriam Stadje from Germany. In the future, he will be responsible to promote SEKISUI’s global business by developing the English communication skills of the employees in Japan. We asked him about his first experiences in the home country of SEKISUI.
At the beginning of February, the time had come again: The QESH manager of all SEKISUI companies met to talk about current environment activities in Europe and learn about the current environmental plans and how to implement them from Japanese colleagues. This year, the event was hosted by SEKISUI Diagnostics in the UK. Together with the Environmental Management Group the company prepared an interesting and diverse two-day program at their site in Kent.

Roel Geerbex is a senior laboratory engineer at SEKISUI S-Lec. Although he loves his job and has been with the company for 16 years he was looking for a new challenge – to gain new experience and different perspectives. When he was doing a traineeship at a different department last year he got exactly what he was looking for.
The Global KAIZEN Convention 2019
For the 53rd time, the Global KAIZEN Convention took place in Kyoto, Japan. At the end of January, representatives from all over the world met and presented their KAIZEN project. Among them: Pedro Soler from SEKISUI Specialty Chemicals, who won the European KAIZEN Convention in 2018.
